“The Hammer products have once again delivered….”
I used your perpetuem solids for the duration of the Alpine Challenge & as always they worked super well for me – this time was 36hrs so nice to know they go the distance, also used the endurolyte tablets 🙂 Super glad to win the voucher & will be using on replacement products. Thanks heaps for supporting our mountain running sport, much appreciated. Cheers Clare

“The Hammer products have once again delivered….”
Just quickly from Lone Pine where the 2015 Badwater Ultra finishes (at the Base of Mt Whitney).
This victory couldn’t have been possible without your support. The Hammer products have once again delivered and I survived on Heed, Sustained Energy, Gels and Bars (Oatmeal Apple) feeling strong all day and with no stomach issue at all.

“I nailed TFN100…”
I mainly wanted to let you know how I nailed the TNF100 this year (2015) and all because I finally got my nutrition right.
I used the Perpetuem (Wow, that keeps you feeling full), the Endurolytes, 2 every hour, and 1 gel and 1 Fizz tablet in my bladder half way through.
No I didn’t come in just after Brendan Davies, but finished sub 20 hours, got my belt buckle and felt great during and after the event.
“Get through tough sessions a little bit easier…”
Being an elite athlete, having adequate energy to complete hard training sessions day in, day out, as well as being fueled enough for long competitions, is very important. As is recovery.I chose Hammer nutrition purely because the range of products are well suited to my needs and I feel as though I can get through tough sessions that little bit easier & recover that little bit faster between sessions.I feel hammer nutrition products have taken my training to the next level and i feel very lucky to have the support from Hammer nutrition to keep my body well fueled when needed.I am also a Coeliac, so the gluten free variety makes the products that whole lot better.
“Energy needs during training as well as recovery between sessions were skyrocketing…”
For me the switch to Hammer Nutrition was not as clear cut as a lot of other people.I was using other products that I was happy with and that I thought were giving me what I required in both training and racing.A couple of training buddies were using Hammer Nutrition and urged me to give it a try, so I did, more to shut them up than anything else!Much to my surprise, I found that these products, Perpetuem, Heed and Hammer Gels to start with, then basically most of the range, offered me something I hadn’t before thought possible. Both my energy needs during training as well as my recovery between sessions were skyrocketing, training intensity I hadn’t thought was limited by nutrition choice clearly had been for a long time. Recovery similarly became faster and more complete. So my advice is, If you aren’t using Hammer Nutrition products, and you think you are happy with something else….Give them a try, you can’t lose from it, and from my experience you won’t be disappointed.Im converted, Thanks Hammer for opening up a whole new world of performance possibilities for me, The future is exciting.
“Perpeteum has been my go to product…”
For some time I battled stomach issues during racing. After a particularly horrible Ironman experience a friend of mine suggested Perpeteum and I haven’t looked back. Perpeteum has been my go to product for Half Ironman or longer for over 12 months now and it has never let me down. I particularly like that it is still digestible at high concentrations, making it easy to pack all the nutrition I need into one handy bottle. Plus the lack of a sweet taste means it never gets overpowering.
Going hand in hand with the Perpeteum are the Endurolytes that I use during hot races. Racing a lot up in Asia, cramping is always a risk, using the Endurolytes helps prevent that, whilst sitting easily in the stomach. I find them to be a crucial ingredient to a successful race in hot climates.
In training I swap between Perpeteum and HEED depending on the session and whilst they are very different products, I have found that they both provide excellent fuel to get me through tough sessions. Whilst HEED is sweeter, it is never sickly, meaning I am happy to keep sipping away, even on a long ride.
“…Couldn’t have done it without Hammer Nutrition…”
I Just did my first 12hr race at Caboolture and broke the Australian (AURA) under 30 female record!!! Look out ultra world, this new kid on the block is coming. Couldn’t have done it without Hammer Nutrition. Thanks so much. I even shared my bars alonf the course to people that were struggling!!!
“…Hammer has totally revolutionised my endurance ability…”
A Big Thank You!
I Just completed the Cape to Cape MTB race in the south west of Western Australia (4 days, 225km). During the race and in training I used HEED, Gels and Recoverite. By using Hammer I was able to push harder and recover quicker than I ever expected. I have to say that Hammer has totally revolutionised my endurance ability, I wish I had discovered it sooner.
So thanks Hammer, your products have helped me achieve my goal.
“…4 team members ran at the best for the full 12 hours 18 minutes…” 2012 Oxfam Trailwalker Sydney Winning Team, new mixed team course record holder
I used Hammer Sports Nutritional Products while breaking the MIxed Record for Oxfam Sydney Trailwalker 2012. Thanks to the help of Hammer Tropical Gel, Fizz Electrolyte Tablets, Hammer Choc Chip Bars and Perpeteum Endurance Drink I became the fastest female to finished the Oxfam Trailwalker Sydney Event in it’s course history.
I love the taste of the all natural Hammer Sports Nutrition products. The flavours taste natural, not artificial. They are gentle on my stomach. The electrolyte Fizz kept my muscles feeling great for 12 hours of running. Hammer Tropical Gel gave me the boost I needed to run up the climbs. Perpeteum replinished my muscles while on the run and the Hammer Cho Chip Bar gave my stomach something to digest at the 85km mark without bloating me. I used the Hammer Recoverite post event. I’ve pulled up the best I ever have after a 100km event. My energy levels are sky high and ready to race the Coastal Classic 29km only 7 days after Oxfam Trailwalker Sydney. Thank You Hammer.” – Shona Stephenson
“Hammer products definetely kept me going through the 101.5 kms. I used 1 gel 30 minutes before the race starrt and I would take about 1 gel every hour during the 12 hrs. I also had 2 chocolate chip bars mixed in throughout the race. Perpetuem was the drink I carried with me. 1 new bottle every checkpoint. The Endurolytes Fizz were great in the 2ns half of the race. I didn’t have any cramps. I also downed about 15 Endurolytes over the 12 hrs of racing. I like to mix up my nutrition over long Endurance races and Hammer was the perfect mix for that. Thanks.” – Paul Robertson
“If you ever get stomach issues from digesting solid food during an endurance event like I do then you need to checkout Perpetuem. It delivers mainly Carbs but also a little protein which is important over long distance. According to Garmin I burnt 29,400 KJs (7,000 calories) over the 100km of the Oxfam Trailwalker Sydney 2012. Perpetuem was my staple fuel source throughout the event.
Since I have started using Perpetuem I am very happy to say no stomach issues for me. This year I have tested it in a variety of conditions and events and have been very pleased with the results:
1st – Oxfam Trailwalker 100km, Sydney, NSW
1st – Oxfam Trailwalker 100km, Brisbane, QLD
3rd – Australian Rogaining championships, 24 Hour – Flinders Ranges, SA
16th – North Face 100km, Blue Mountains, NSW” – Jonathan Worswick
“On behalf to Team No Roads Expeditions I would like to thank Hammer Nutrition for suppling their fantastic products once again to our great team of runners for this years Sydney’s Oxfam Trailwalker event. Elite athletes require the best products to allow them to perform at their peak and that’s why we wanted Hammer Nutrition, because simply they are the best. All our 4 team members run at the best for the full 12 hours 18 minutes it took them to not only win the event but smash the course record for a mixed team. As team manager and support crew it also made my job easy knowing that I could rely on the products to perform. Thanks to Connie for the wonderful friendly service and we look forward to many more events using Hammer products.” – Garry Sundin (Team Manager)
“…kept me going for the 11 and half hours it took us to win the race.” 2012 Kokoda Challenge Winning Team
I burned through over 8000 calories over the treacherous Kokoda Challenge course – 96km with near 5000m of elevation gain. It was Hammer Perpetuem that kept me going for the 11 and half hours it took us to win the race. In the first half I used the Strawberry flavour before switching to Caffe Latte flavour later in the race. Every 20km I also had a Huckleberry flavoured gel to give me that instant boost. The Endurolytes also proved to be a very convenient way to restore mineral loss throughout the day. These little capsules, which I kept in my shorts pocket, worked wonders and kept the cramp monsters at bay. Post race we all celebrated with a Recoverite drink.” – Brendan Davies
“Huckleberry gels were very palatable and enhanced my endurance… Well maybe not last 10 -2km!!…sssshhhhhhhh!!! But that was me not the gels as I forgot to take them (except for 1 caffeine gel) from about 20km out ! For me the Electrolyte caps definitely kept the cramps at bay... I felt a couple of cramps attempting to get hold of my calves on a few occasions but managed to keep them at bay by washing down a couple of caps with water, followed a little later with perpetuem, which like the Hcklbry gels was palatable and aided my endurance.” – Andy Lee“I used Hammer Nutrition products to keep me fuelled for the whole 96km Kokoda Challenge race. used Hammer Products to get me through the whole 96km Kokoda Challenge race. For the first half I ran on just Strawberry Perpetuem drinking every 20 minutes and in the second half moved to more solid food like the Tropical gels and Hammer Bars. The caffeine in the Tropical Gel gave me a boost in the later stages of the event. The day was quite humid so I stayed on top of the water and had 1 Endurolyte capsule an hour to replace electrolytes and keep leg cramps at bay.Once we crossed the finish line and had some champagne to celebrate it was straight onto the Chocolate Recoverite. The Gels and Perpetuem tasted great and kept the energy flowing at an even level. Thanks Hammer for getting the whole team through the day with perfect nutrition.” – Ewan Horsburgh
“Hammer Nutrition played a was a very important in our teams preparation and event. All our runners use and train with Hammer and so it was important for me that we could provide them with products that they both liked and were confident in using. This proved to work brilliantly with using the full range Hammer’s great race nutrition before, during and after the event. There is no doubt the quality of the products as siting our teams performance. Thanks Hammer !” – Garry Sundin (Team Manager)
29% of competitors in North Face 100 used Hammer!

“…the perfect product to chip away on during the bike.”
I just completed my first race using your Hammer perpetum and recoverite & endurlytes tabs.
I had big nutritional problems at IMWA and on advice from Bill Scanlan (coach) switched across to using perpetum & endurlytes tabs for the Busso 70.3 race I did a 4:45 with is a 10min PB in tough conditions, the perpetum is the perfect product to chip away on during the bike. Its chalky taste doesn’t make you feel sick and it’s easy to get down unlike gels. I hit up 5 tabs on the bike and didn’t feel like cramping at all during the run, which was a big problem for me at IMWA.
“Now that I know the absolute quality of your products…”
I just wanted to take the time to Thank you for your quality and unparalleled performance products. I am an Ultra trail runner from the Southern Highlands of NSW and recently converted to use your products, specifically perpetuem, endurolytes, heed and hammer bars.
The amazing part for me was that I am not the biggest fan normally of these kinds of products and utilise more whole foods in race diet. After reading about your product line I decided to use all 4 products above in the GNW100 mile ultra… against all race rules I know (but without much choice) I had never used these before race day, except to find out what kind of consistency the perpetuem would be like in bottle.
I ran the event almost 4 hours quicker then last year, breaking the 100 mile record by over an hour coming 2nd by 15 mins to Andrew Vize (another ultra runner using your products). I had not one problem as far as nutrition, cramps, dehydration went.
Now that I know the absolute quality of your products I will train and utilise them as much as possible and also pass on high recommendations to other endurance athletes I am affiliated with. Please pass on these thanks to the entire team at Hammer. I look forward to continual support from your advanced nutritional endurance products.

“I had carefully read the science behind it and it made much more sense to me…”
I trialled Hammer Perpetuem for my first 24 hr race in June 2010. I had carefully read the science behind it and it made much more sense to me than fuels high in fat and/or simple sugars for such a long event. It was also much more preferable to me to use only one fuel, as I would then know my exact caloric intake (along with protein, sodium, and the like).
Perpetuem was the only fuel I consumed for the entire event (along with Endurolytes at scheduled intervals). Although I watched many racers get sick around me all night, I ran without issue, setting a new Canadian W40 record.

“Well done on such great products.”
Did my first 24hr Solo on the weekend at the Kona 24 and got second O/R!
I used your Perpetuem almost exclusively and a few Hammer Gels towards the end.
I was really impressed with the clean natural feeling of the products and the long term energy and support they provided.
Well done on such great products!
“I use Hammer Nutrition products to gain that advantage over my competitors!”
I use Hammer Nutrition products to gain that advantage over my competitors!
In training for, and competing at the 2011 70.3 World Championships in Las Vegas, I use a range of Hammer Nutrition products to ensure I am at my peak in performance and recovered soon after.
Hammer products keep the energy systems high using nutritionally sound ingredients and still taste great.
Grant Preddy – Triathlete
“…..I am a definite convert.”
Hammer nutrition offers athletes the complete package for performance and recovery. Thanks to Perpetuem my energy levels are now stable and consistent in events.
Recoverite has enabled me to train harder and with less recovery than ever before! My weekly mileage has now doubled but my legs feel fresher now that I am taking hammer products, I am a definite convert.
Natasha Fraser – Runner
“…..everything went excellent, no complaints, no stomach problems.”
After listening to Steve and trying the HEED on a couple of long runs found it to be excellent.
The history behind me is that every time I push myself hard I end up with stomach cramps and bowel problems. Every half ironman and full Ironman, I ended up with gastric problems, that’s three of each.
After completing Menigie using Hammer Nutrition (HEED) everything went excellent, no complaints, no stomach problems, in fact excellent recovery. I qualified for the Aus Ironman for the Fourth time. I will be using Hammer Nutrition for this event and all my training leading up to it!
Thanks Hammer for the useful information at the seminar which was put to good use.
“Perpetuem has really simplified my race preparation.”
Perpetuem has really simplified my race preparation. Now I only mix up one bottle to get everything I need nutrition is the last thing on my mind.
I never get an upset stomach so I know I’m always going to challenge the other guys to the best of my ability. Running out of energy during 70.3 used to be a real issue but now I’m confident I can give it everything then still find more at the end of the race to get that podium spot.
Luke Gillmer – Triathlete
“….easy to digest and work well together to supply calories…”
I use the Hammer gels and Perpetuem solids in training and races they taste great. They are both easy to digest and work well together to supply calories when running.
Hammer bars are a great snack and added calories for long training runs. As I am gluten and dairy intolerant these bars are perfect being both gluten and dairy free.

“…your product excellent, the advice was also fantastic.”
Would firstly like to say that I am 45, and have run since I was in school.
Now, since a lung disease 12 years ago, I am a hack, whose only goal is to finish races. I have a permanently reduced lung capacity. I started triathlon 4 years ago, and did the GC half last weekend (in 6 hours 15!!).
Anyway, being old, I have heard it all. Mostly from ‘experts’, particularly in the area of nutrition.
Last night was the absolute first time, that I have heard form someone who made sense to me.
When Steve spoke, my instant thoughts were ‘thank Christ, someone knows about this stuff’.
I have tried to eat, then eat some more, just because the experts told me to.They were wrong. Last year I did Yepoon, in 6.53. I ate constantly, felt like shit, and took 5 days to be able to walk upright. Last weekend I did a tougher course in 6.15, with only Hammer Gels and HEED, and drove home to Sydney the next day. Sore for one day.
I had done virtually no training this year (unintentional, but work commitments).
Hope the ‘experts’ can explain that!!!
Anyway, the point of this email is to say thanks.
Appreciate the seminar, and I will certainly be sticking to Steve’s logical (and proven) advice.
Not only is your product excellent, the advice was also fantastic.
Please say thank you to Steve for me. I enjoyed his talk tremendously.
Again, praise the bloody Lord. Someone not trying to convince me to feel bloated all the time!! All the best.
“Recoverite is an absolute godsend…”
Over the course of many hours on the trails, losing vital salts and nutrients can affect performance hugely, so I needed something to keep those levels where they need to be for maximum performance, in both training and racing – Endurolytes hit the mark perfectly.
Recoverite is an absolute godsend when it comes to getting your body back in order after a big training run, it can be the difference between feeling great the next day and ready to train again, or simply having trouble getting out of bed.
Dan Bleakman – Runner
“…..effective nutrition but also back it up with great support and advice…”
The Hammer Nutrition company not only supply athletes with effective nutrition but also back it up with great support and advice on the correct products and ways to fuel the body.
With a big range of different products and flavours the nutrition can be a key component for any athlete of any skill level. Hammer = winning combination.

“I rode 260 kms on Saturday at average 30 kmh”
Fantastic Dave , I rode in the Port to Port on sat Mildura to Echuca Sun was cancelled due to bad weather, I rode 260 kms on Sat at av 30kmph. Could not of done it without Hammer Gel, HEED &Perpetuem. I had an accident on the bike 4 weeks ago 5 broken ribs so very STOKED
“…..food that actually tastes good…”
Getting hold of running food that actually tastes good can be a challenge, something Hammer has managed to nail.
During the course of an ultra, you need food that’s going to give you variety over anything up to 30 hours.
Most of the time, I’ve got my order within 48 hours of placing it – now that’s good customer service.
Darrel Robins – Runner
“….knocked 5 minutes off one of my regular 50 km routes.”
Some further feedback……on Saturday I did an 80km ride, and increased the “scoops” of Recoveriteto about 4&1/2 afterwards.
Although the difference wasn’t notable through recovery, there was a BIG lift today when I got on the bike and knocked 5 minutes off one of my regular 50km routes.
My legs and body in general felt incredibly strong, and I really felt as though I was flying up the hills. Clearly the glycogen stores were seriously replenished to the right levels.
I can only put it down to 1) taking Perpetuem through the 80k ride Saturday and 2) the increased intake of Recoverite on Saturday as noted above.
Test will be my next ride Wednesday, to see if I get a sustained result….I took an increased amount of Recoverite after my ride tonight as well.
Thanks again for the tips!!
“Without Recoverite, I would not be able to back up week in week out…”
I use Hammer Nutrition products in events ranging from 45km in the Blue Mountains all the way up to the 440km speed record set on the Hume and Hovell track running between Yass and Albury.
In training and shorter races I mix it up with the Hammer bars and gels. Endurolytes are also part of my race plan year round.
Without Recoverite, I would not be able to back up week in week out running the kilometres required to be successful at 100 and 150 mile races.
Andrew Vize – Runner
“A big thanks to you and Steve…..”
A big thanks to you and Steve for a great seminar. I could have sat through a couple of days of it – very interesting and lots of new ideas to try.
I have had nutrition issues in many of my past Ironman races and I am looking forward to really getting my Endurance Fuelling to 100% with no issues.
“It is just amazing……………..I never got hungry and really only needed a gel here and there to keep me smiling.”
“I would have to say that Hammer Nutrition’s Perpetuem completely changed my approach to training and racing nutrition; it is just amazing.
I rode the Australian solo 24 Hour mountain bike championships with Perpetuem as my only food source. I never got hungry and really only needed a gel here and there to keep me smiling.
The Hammer Nutrition guide on sports nutrition for endurance racing is spot on and the team have always been readily available to answer questions.”
Bethany Thompson – MTB
“I had plenty left in the tank to get up and over.”
I followed your steps to a T. I had a really good ride, felt good the whole way, I didn’t eat anything at all only your goodies and few lollies here and there.
Every other year with around 70km to go l have had enough, probably by that stage I had already been sick. This year no sign of being sick, the further it went the better l felt.
The last climb of the day was the Westgate Bridge.
l had plenty left in the tank to get up and over.
Every other year I crawl up in 1st gear, get passed by heaps and really struggle. This year didn’t get passed at all and felt great.
I was amazed that I rode 230km and didn’t eat at all and felt so great. The next step l will have to recover properly.
Once again thanks for all your help, I will be ordering more and telling everyone else to get on board.
