Just had a couple of questions today regarding how quickly we send out your order.

95% of orders are sent out the same day. If your order comes in after 2 pm then it will usually be sent the next day.

We use Fastway Couriers for most orders, and registered Australian Post orders for a few.

And our postage is a flat $10 per order for anywhere in Australia.

Estimated Delivery Time

The vast majority of orders are delivered in the 1-3 working day range. If you live in Perth then you can add another couple of days (sorry Perth, it’s just so far away!).

Our sales always shoot up at Gold Coast Marathon time and this year was no exception.

And it’s no wonder – this event is just getting bigger and bigger with well over 16,000 runners this year. Click here if you’re after the results.

Palm Beach Scouts Drink Station

A friend of mine is Mel – Mel is the Fundraiser for the Palm Beach Scouts here on the Gold Coast and she ran a Drink Station at the 10km mark of the marathon.

Mel had 22 Scouts helping her out and their aim was to win the $1,000 prize for best drinks station!

As you can see by the photo to the left she had her team looking good and cheering loud!

What They Did

* Encouraging signs leading to and away from the drinks station (in English and Japanese)
* Mel’s daughter Laura taught the Scouts team encouraging phrases in Japanese
* Ensure drinks we’re cold, organised and plentiful

And The Winner Is…….

The winner of the $1,000 wasn’t Palm Beach Scouts! Bad luck Mel :o(

But Mel’s team came second and picked up a very handy $250 to help the Scouts out.

Great stuff Mel and well done to all runners.

We’re proud sponsors again of Australia’s premier adventure race – GeoQuest 2007 – which kicks off tomorrow.

Live Coverage of GeoQuest 2007.

It involves 48hrs of non-stop endurance racing in the major disciplines of trekking, mountain biking and kayaking.

Mixed, Male or Female teams of four must navigate their way through an arduous 200+km course that is only revealed to them the evening before the race.

Held Annually

The Mountain Designs GeoQuest is held annually on the Queens Birthday long weekend in June. The race is moved each year to a different location with exciting new challenges for the teams.

I’ve had a couple of people mention they think we should have a seperate page for each product on the site.

We do have that with our drop down menu system (see example image below) – but some older browsers don’t get the drop downs (so that’s why we have all the products on 1 page if you click on ‘Products’).
