How did you get into the sport?
I got into multisport after attending the Freycinet Challenge as a high school student and being amazed at the athletes completing the race solo, backing up riding, running and paddling across two days.
Hardest thing about your sport?
Being average at several sports but not brilliant at any of them individually.
What does your regular training week consist of?
Attempting to train twice a day, which per week includes 2 runs, 2-3 paddles, 3 rides, 1 gym session.
How do you keep motivated?
My motivation can ebb and flow so I like to train with people, train in interesting places and entering in races to set as goals. Creating interesting training experiences, such as adventure weekends exploring Tasmania’s more remote areas have been excellent ways to build volume.
Goals (Future Plans and Career Expectations):
Into 2026, I would like to again make the podium for the Winter Challenge. I’ll also be showing off Tasmania’s gorgeous landscapes on my Instagram page as I prepare.
Best Piece of Advice you have received?
The best piece of advice I have gotten is when racing long event, break the race down into achievable goals or chunks.
