Peanut butter and Peanut butter chocolate are delicious so easy to get down. Hate the fruity ones they never taste like what they are supposed to be
Compared with other Hammer gels, the Expresso is a very thick gel and takes time to consume. This is not ideal requiring longer stop at a drink station during a race. My preference for a gel with caffeine is the tropical gel as its consistency is easier to consume. Unfortunately the tropical gel is not always available.
been using them for years... certainly prevents cramping
I’m enjoying the subtleness of the lemon lime flavour and it is really helping stay hydrated in these humid months.
I've been taking other branded "electrolytes" for far too long and always been left with headaches and dizziness after a long run. Since switching to Endurolytes problem solved. Feel much fresher, more alert and balanced using Endurolytes. It's been a game changed for me.
Love it! Use it on every ride under two hours- indoors and out. A perfect mix.
Have been using these Gels for a decade or more. That tells the story. Always easy to order and quick with delivery.
I use the expresso gels, the taste is great and I have no stomach issues. They are an important part in my nutrition plan during the bike and run. I totally recommend them to all athletes.
Have used Gels and powders for a decade. Have tried others but always come back to Hammer
I needed a gel without fructose and tried the Espresso flavour as a trial for my last long run before my marathon. It tastes amazing, I was actually looking forward to the end of each 45min intervals so I could have another and importantly it was the first long run where I had no GI issues. So I ordered many more. Great product!
Best gel on the market, the jugs / dispenser flask combo give great value, no sticky, wasteful sachets to carry around till the end of my run. Hammer gel gives good, even feed of energy with no ups and downs of sugar highs and lows. I use it for long trail runs, vanilla is my favourite flavour.
I was introduced to Perpetuem by a friend who saw the amount of gels and other products I had for a long race. He recommended me Perpetuem, claiming I would only need a bottle with a couple of scoops. I was skeptical and had a race coming up in 1 week time. I didn't have the chance to test the 2hrs + ride in the last week so I ordered a sample and decided to give it a go in the race (a bit risky since they say do not try something new, or practice it before) The race lasted 2hrs and 35 mins, I only took with me 500ml of water mixed with 3 scoops of Perpetuem divided in 250ml reusable flaks and 1x 750ml bottle of plain water and 1 x 750ml of water with electrolytes. I managed to perform really well, never felt hungry, it was nice to my stomach and my energy level was high at all times! As soon as I finished the race I ordered the big canister
Ive been taking electrolytes every session for the last few months and have noticed a massive improvement in my performance and recovery. Every time I have a sip during a session it's like I get a massive boost physically and mentally. I highly recommend for all endurance athletes or those that lose a lot of sweat during training.
I couldn't agree more with another reviewer here - the flavours are actually really yummy. No flavour fatigue and you can look forward to your gel. I have used Hammer gels for several years now for training, Ironman distance triathlons and long trail runs. My husband & daughter also use Hammer gels for one reason - they work and they taste good. We love all the flavours, my fave is probably peanut butter & chocolate or nocciola but it's good to mix them up a bit and get the contrast with the fruity flavours of the raspberry, bananna and apple-cinnamon.
After trying a few different gels on the market, once I tried Hammer Gel I looked no further. The consistency is smooth and palatable, making it easy to swallow and digest. The flavours are not too sweet and genuinely taste like what the flavour is. I use Hammer Gels all through 100km runs and my energy levels remain high and consistent the whole time. And the best thing is I still feel like a Hammer Gel after running 90km! My all time favourite flavours are raspberry, huckleberry, vanilla, nocciola and apple-cinnamon. Definitely recommended!
Nocciola has been my gel of choice for 2 years now. Hammer Gel is definitely the secret behind not only performing on race day but also being resilient in training which allows me to back-up multiple sessions in one day or the tougher and longer sessions throughout my training week. If anyone is keen reach for new limits in long distance running and achieve your stretch targets, Hammer Gels are the answer!
I use Hammer gels during runs longer than an hour. Unlike gels with simple sugars, Hammer gives a more consistent energy boost that lasts longer. They also doesn’t taste too sweet, my favourite flavours are Nocciola, chocolate and espresso.
I predominantly train and race in Australia which can get very hot so electrolyte replacement is absolutely essential for performance and Hammer Endurolytes are easy to swallow and have an extended electrolyte profile that delivers every time – Never cramped while using these.
I really enjoy the almost neutral lemon / lime flavour. A cold bidon of lemon / lime HEED during a hot day of training or racing is difficult to beat and HEED is as close to perfect as an energy drink can be and with a full-spectrum of electrolytes (calcium, magnesium, manganese and chromium over the typical sodium and potassium). I also like the addition of chromium polynicotinate (niacin-bound chromium) used to boosts chromium’s absorption and it’s reported effects on the effectiveness of insulin to keep your blood sugar at optimal levels and also assist in the metabolism of carbohydrate, fat and protein. No cramps. No stomach issues.
This has been my longtime favourite gel. It tastes just like apple pie and I can tolerate it just as well 6 hours into an event as I do at the start. I'm almost keen to try warming it up for winter races.
