How did you get into the sport?

I'm an advocate for all abilities athletes. Following Anterior Lumbar Interbody Spine Fusion surgery a few years back and having to re-learn how to do day to day tasks, inclusive of walking, each challenge being a collection of mini races, each with their own finish lines. Every success enabled me to move on to the next challenge and accomplishment, long term I wanted to be able to run again as I’d previously enjoyed running as part of cross training associated with team sports participation. Fast forward many years of hard work and determination and a positive mindset following successful rehabilitation and I have a MIler and multiple 100km events to date and a variety of events on the forward event schedule., I am most happy to now be a motivational speaker and an inspiration and mentor to other folk coming back from injuries, using an active lifestyle within ones means and abilities. I use running,as a positive mental health and physical platform for changing lives for the better. I am an advocate for healthy living, with nutrition and lifestyle paramount in supporting a positive and healthy lifestyle.
