How did you get into your sport?: I started running with my friends for fitness and fell in love with it. I entered road races, gradually lengthening the distance to a marathon, then I needed more, so I started trail running and pushed to an ultra marathon.
Hardest thing about your sport: What does your regular training week consists of?: The hardest thing is juggling training with my family and study.
My regular week consists of running on average 4 times a week, mostly on the trails but road as well. I cross train with swimming, weights and cardio classes.
How do you keep motivated?: I love the outdoors and running. I enjoy exploring new places to run and the challenges they bring. Seeing my daughter enjoy running too. I have a lot of friends who I train with, they are very inspirational and motivating.
Goals (Future Plans and Career expectations): UTA 50 2018. I would love to tackle a 100Km one day. And of course, keep improving my skills and knowledge of trail running.
Best piece of advice you have been given: Stay positive, look ahead, no matter how hard the run.
‘I tried a few brands and found them to artificial. I was looking for a more natural nutrition to fuel my body. When I found Hammer Nutrition, my long runs changed for the better. I have more energy, I can digest the Gels, Fizz and bars without any stomach distress and taste good. Post workout, my recovery is faster, so I can hit the trails again’
