How did you get into the sport?
Having been active my whole life, and finishing up my swimming career, I needed something to aim for next. I completed my first triathlon in 2024 and have been hooked since!
Hardest thing about your sport?
I’ve always loved training and being outdoors, but balancing the sheer volume of training with full-time work is a huge mental challenge.
Physically, cycling has been the toughest discipline. I’ve only been riding for a year, so it’s been a steep learning curve.
What does your regular training week consist of?
Total training time ≈ 10-15hrs per week
2x Running sessions [1x threshold efforts, 1x steady state aerobic endurance]
2x Swim sessions [1x threshold efforts, 1x technique/distance focus]
2x Bike sessions [1x threshold efforts, 1x aerobic endurance]
2x strength/conditioning sessions [1x pull/lower body, 1x push/core]
How do you keep motivated?
I find it’s easy to become overwhelmed by the task at hand, especially for endurance activities. I try to break it things down into smaller, manageable steps (ie: Taking it one session at a time!). This helps me stay consistent and motivated in everything I do.
Goals (Future Plans and Career Expectations)
Complete my first Ironman in 2025 and beat my previous Ironman 70.3 time. I’m also looking to improve my performance in other sports such as Hyrox and marathons.
